Early Childhood Programs

The best early learning experience

At Columbia Crest Montessori, we strive to create an environment where children can express themselves freely while experiencing the joy of learning. Our programs and curriculum are thoughtfully designed to provide a loving, nurturing, and developmentally enriching experience for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age.

Using the Montessori Method, we support each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Our classrooms

are carefully prepared to foster independence, creativity, and a genuine love of learning. With the support and guidance of our highly qualified teachers, students develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

We aim to spark each child’s curiosity and imagination through meaningful, hands-on activities. As a result, our students begin to build the focus and motivation that are essential for lifelong success.

All Early Childhood students participate in weekly enrichment classes including Spanish, Art, Music, Science, and Library. Kindergarten students enjoy additional sessions in these subjects, further deepening their learning experience.

INFANT PROGRAM

Our Infant Program offers a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment for children as young as 6 weeks old. Designed to support the earliest stages of development, this program focuses on building trust, fostering secure attachments, and encouraging gentle exploration.

Guided by Montessori principles, our caring teachers provide individualized attention that nurtures each infant’s physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. Through soft sensory materials, purposeful movement, and meaningful interaction, infants begin to develop foundational skills in communication, coordination, and self-awareness.

We follow each child’s natural rhythms while creating a calm, predictable routine that supports feeding, sleeping, and active exploration. With warmth, patience, and attentiveness, we create an environment where even the youngest learners feel safe, loved, and ready to grow.

AGE: 18 months - 3 YEARS

TODDLER PROGRAM

Our Little Learners Program is specially designed for toddlers ready to take their first steps beyond the home environment into a world of exploration, growth, and connection.

In a warm and nurturing setting, we provide a stress-free learning experience guided by caring teachers who understand the unique needs of young children. Rooted in Montessori principles, the program supports each child’s social, cognitive, physical, and intellectual development through hands-on materials and age-appropriate activities.

Toddlers thrive in a rich social environment where they engage in group activities, music, storytelling, language development, and finger play—all of which help build early communication and social skills. To encourage positive behavior and emotional growth, we incorporate the Love and Logic method of gentle redirection and guidance.

Our goal is to help each child develop independence, confidence, and a joy for learning during these important early years.

AGE: 3 - 6 YEARS

PRIMARY PROGRAM

Our Preschool and Kindergarten Program is designed to foster each child’s intellectual curiosity and love of learning. In a carefully prepared Montessori environment, children are encouraged to observe, make choices, and work at their own pace with gentle guidance from the teacher. This unique blend of self-directed exploration and teacher-led instruction helps children build the independence, focus, and confidence needed to thrive not only in primary school but throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Following a thoughtfully structured curriculum tailored to each child’s individual developmental needs, students engage in foundational work across core areas such as sensorial exploration, language, and mathematics. This hands-on approach supports both conceptual understanding and critical thinking.

In addition to the core curriculum, children participate in weekly enrichment classes in Spanish, Art, and Music. These specialty subjects offer creative expression, cultural exploration, and a well-rounded educational experience. By the time they complete Kindergarten, students are well-prepared academically, socially, and emotionally for their next steps in elementary education.
